Can I import my own symbols on the Z70?

The Z70 v2 allows the import of user-defined symbols. These icons are parameterised by the ETS and appear with the name "Cx".

To display them correctly on the screen, it is necessary to import all these icons via a USB with FAT32 format. To do this, a folder with the name "icons" must be created in the root directory of the USB.

Folder structure Icons without distinction light and dark

In this case, the imported icons are used for both the light and dark theme. The structure of the folders must be as follows:

Folder structure icons with light and dark distinction

The custom symbols are distinguished between those created for the light theme ("light" folder) and those created for the dark theme ("dark" folder). The structure of the folders must be as follows:

Both structures have further folders where the custom icons named "custom_icon_1.svg", "custom_icon_2.svg" are stored.

A distinction is made between:

  • Button: Icons for the box buttons (max. 15 Icons)
  • Link: Icons for the direct link buttons or pages (max. 40 Icons)
  • Status: Icons for indicators (max. 40 Icons)
The following limitations apply:
  • The image file must not be larger than 300KB.
  • Incorrectly named files will not be imported.

Importing the icons

After following the steps above and connecting the USB to the Z70 v2, once the Z70 v2 identifies the inserted USB flash drive, a USB icon will appear in the top bar and a dialogue will inform the user of the action on the screen: "New icons imported".
