How must a blind channel be set up?

The following procedure is recommended for the initial installation / commissioning of a blind channel:

a) Measurement of running times
  1. Duration of the upward movement
  2. Duration of the downward movement
  3. (Optional, if available) Duration of a complete lamella rotation

b) Configuration ETS Parameters
  1. Enter the travel time for the upward movement
Note: Please keep in mind that in most cases the up-movement takes longer than a down-movement.
  2. Enter the travel time for the downward movement
  3. Time for reversal pause (to avoid mechanical and electrical problems during abrupt change of direction)
  4. Enter additional travel time (this value ensures synchronization between the actual position and the position assumed in the actuator)
Note: Rule of thumb = 10% of travel time upwards
  5. Enter time for one lamella rotation (if available)
  6. Enter time for one slat step (if available)

c) Move all blinds completely upwards

d) Load the application to the actuators and check the configuration.
  • The actuator may only be used when the blind is at the top. If this is not the case, please activate the test mode and move the blinds manually to their full height.
